The full release of Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional lists 24 weapons. Pinball, Solitaire, Mines and Firewall are named in the official store description; the public achievement list supplies additional named completion goals. Use these goals to choose something concrete to work toward, not as a ranking of weapon strength.
Choose a goal you can track
The following is a selected set of Steam achievement descriptions, not an exhaustive weapon database. The achievement name and its requirement are separate facts. A matching name does not by itself prove every detail of the in-game reward or when that reward appears.
| Named goal | Listed requirement | What to track |
|---|---|---|
| Mines | Clear 50 Mine enemies | Enemy type and count |
| Bubbles | Clear 2,000 enemies with Pinball | The weapon credited with kills |
| Solitaire | Clear 2,500 enemies with Bubbles | Bubbles kills, not all weapon kills |
| Paint | Get Bubbles to level 25 | Weapon level, not player level |
The Paint requirement is especially easy to misread: it names the level of Bubbles. Reaching player level 25 is not the condition written in that achievement description. Conversely, do not add a single-run rule to a goal unless the description actually specifies one.
Weapon upgrades and Drivers do different work
The release announcement describes varied attack behavior, including direct targeting, passive effects and status effects. It also explains that leveling a particular weapon creates more opportunities for bespoke Driver upgrades. A weapon's identity therefore matters alongside its stats.
When choosing an upgrade, first ask which weapon it changes and whether it affects the behavior you need. Then read any tradeoff in the game. We do not assign universal damage values or Driver thresholds that the current public sources do not establish. See the Driver guide for the distinction.
Why there is no S-tier recommendation here
The Demo and full release have different weapon rosters. Early videos and forum preferences are not a controlled comparison of the release's 24 weapons. Calling one weapon the best starter or best boss weapon would require stronger current-version testing.
Instead, select a weapon you want to learn, choose a named goal and compare your result against that exact goal. If progress looks wrong, check the weapon involved and whether the target names enemies, kills or weapon level before concluding the unlock is broken.
Continue with Tasks for other completion goals or Plugins and Keys for another layer of your setup. Checked September 30, 2026; official release details and Steam achievements are the factual basis, not hands-on performance testing.
